Kate Beecroft

I work beneath the surface level of human systems.

Organisations fail in predictable ways. Beneath the surface, the relational substrate degrades. The capacity of leaders to stay present and aligned under pressure breaks. The coherence and trust between the people holding it together frays.

The Dissensus Protocol

Frontiers in Human Dynamics, 2021

A peer-reviewed paper introducing dissensus into debates about peer governance in online communities. Background

I helped shape Enspiral, one of the world's most influential experiments in networked organising. I have designed governance frameworks for DAOs, cooperatives, and organisations in transition, led governance at Centrifuge, and researched and published on peer governance and distributed systems for the European Commission and peer-reviewed journals.

I have coached and advised numerous leaders, including the CEO of Rewiring Aotearoa through the complexity of leading energy transition in New Zealand. I trained in the Aletheia coaching approach, have worked as a bibliotherapist, and train as a freediver.

Based in Barcelona and New Zealand. Working globally.
